Abstract

Groundwater samples were collected monthly from different wells in Sharkia Governorate, Egypt, for 12 months, (from May 2015, to April 2016) to evaluate water quality for use in irrigation. Locations of samples (Longitude and latitude) were recorded by GPS device. Samples were analyzed for salinity. There were no severe problems of sodicity, alkalinity or toxicity for irrigation purposes, but there were some salinity hazards. The water can be used for supplementary agricultural irrigation provided proper management practices are taken.
